New Zealand Baptists are a missional people. They believe all people are created by God to worship and honour Him. One way Baptists do this is to live as Christ lived: sacrificially, compassionately, and with an attitude of service towards the wider community and world.
There are over 240 Baptist churches and fellowships throughout New Zealand. Most are involved in a wide range of local mission activities designed to serve their communities, express God’s love, and transform individual lives and community life.
The nature of Baptist church structure means each of the individual churches is able to assess the needs of their specific community and respond accordingly. This has resulted in a nationwide network of local mission initiatives that help and support people in need throughout New Zealand.
Here are a few of stories of how ordinary New Zealander's have become involved in other people's lives to bring change.
