Our goal is not to do ministry but to provide tools, advice and training for pastors and local church leaders to accomplish their roles.

Our senior staff have extensive experience and expertise that is readily available via phone, email and a variety of direct involvements with churches and regions. We can assist in the following areas:

  • Employment Agreements and Terms of Call

  • Finance – accounting and tax matters

  • Legal, insurance, property and human resource matters

  • Statutory compliance – OSH, Privacy Act, Building Act etc.

  • Bulk buying arrangements – e.g. fuel cards for church staff, cell phone groups, and membership of various buying groups giving discounts from a wide range of merchants.

  • Statistical and demographic research

  • Keeping of annual statistics from all churches belonging to the Baptist Churches of New Zealand

  • Communication between all Baptist entities such as Carey Baptist College, NZBMS, Christian Savings, Regional Associations and Regional Mission Leaders

  • Baptist Magazine

Tindall Foundation Funding 

Baptist Neighbourhood & Justice Initiatives is a Funding Manager for the Tindall Foundation. On behalf of the Tindall Foundation, Baptist Neighbourhood & Justice Initiatives disburses donations directly to Baptist churches and trusts, in the programme area of ‘Supporting Families and Social Services’

Foundation North Food Bank Funding 

Baptist churches or trusts in the Auckland and Northland regions that have food banks may apply for ASB Community Trust food bank funding via Baptist Neighbourhood & Justice Initiatives. Combined churches food banks may also apply, providing that a Baptist church or trust is involved and that other denominational churches in the group are not also applying directly to ASB Community Trust. Funding is solely for food or food vouchers, not other expenses.
