TSCF launches a new summer camp

While some students will be getting ready to join their mates partying back on campus, a group of school leavers and returning students will be making other preparations leading up to uni orientation. More than 100 will gather at El Rancho in Waikanae February 10-14, to dig into the Word and enjoy the final days of summer together.

Tertiary Student Christian Fellowship’s new camp, called Launch, is an opportunity for new uni students to begin their studies with a biblical perspective and as part of a community of supportive and like-minded friends. Launch will also help recent graduates connect their faith with their careers as they navigate fresh territory.

Mack and Leeann Stiles are coming to New Zealand from their base in the Middle East to speak at the event. Mack is author of Marks of the Messenger amongst other books, someone C.J. Mahaney calls a “true practitioner” of evangelism who “loves people who need the gospel.” Mack and Leeann will share what God is doing on campuses in the Muslim world, and call and inspire students to share the gospel in a Kiwi context.

TSCF staff will also offer workshops on practical issues facing Christian students, leading tailor-made sessions for school leavers, returning uni students and recent graduates. There will also be plenty of time for recreation on the Kapiti Coast.

Launch will provide a chance to start the year receiving good teaching, build relationships, and encourage each other to be witnesses in one of the ripest mission fields in our nation—university campuses—and the places they lead to.
