Australasian Better Boards Conference
The theme of the 2012 Australasian Better Boards Conference, which will be held in Melbourne on 27 – 29 July, is ‘Toward 2020’. The conference is touted as an “excellent development opportunity for board members, chief executive officers and senior managers of Australian and New Zealand non-profit organisations”. Registrations can be made online.
Springboard
SpringBoard is a NFP group that encourages and develops the next generation of New Zealand directors and promotes age diversity around the board table.
To become a member you must have experience as a director, trustee or board appointee of a company, trust or NFP, and be aged 45 years or under.
Springboard has 1500 members throughout New Zealand and hosts bi-monthly events in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch where speakers present on governance related topics. They also host more specialist events with networking opportunities. All their day to day communication is via Linked In. This includes discussions, governance news, open director vacancies and event details.
