Transcript Divas is a transcription company with offices in the UK, the US, Australia and Canada. They are offering to sponsor NGOs (and yes, this includes churches/trusts in NZ) by providing free typed transcripts of your audio/video media either on your website, or that you may have uploaded to YouTube or elsewhere.

Some reasons why having transcripts may benefit you: 

• Adding transcripts of audio/videos to your website would make them much more accessible to search engines, which cannot identify content in a recording as they rely on text.
• It would allow reporters and writers better access to the content as they can just scan the material and cut and paste quotes.
• It makes the content more accessible to people with disabilities (e.g. hearing impairment). 
• It allows those without broadband to access the content. 
• It maximises your reach by allowing your content to appeal to people with different personalities, abilities, online workflows and learning styles.

All Transcript Divas ask in return is for a small link-back to their site on your physical website (rather than on YouTube or your social media page) - for example: “Transcription sponsored by Transcript Divas Transcription Services”. Transcript Divas is able to provide you with the transcript's HTML coding for easy upload to your website. They are happy to provide the free transcripts in both Word and PDF format too, should you wish to send and/or email them out.  Of course they would expect these would carry a small Transcript Divas logo and the website address too.

If you do not have any such material on your website that you feel needs transcribing, they are happy to transcribe any other media you have free of charge too, under the same condition of a hyperlink back being placed on your website.

The offer is free for of up to two hours of your web-based media (not two hours of their time). There is no obligation for you to purchase further services once the two hours have been transcribed. However they offer a 20% discount on future work.
