One Thousand Gifts has been recommended to us by Karen Warner, national team leader of the Baptist Union’s Children and Family Ministries. She describes it as a life-changing book.

The author is Ann Voskamp, who has faced significant tragedy in her life. Voskamp challenged herself to find joy in the midst of the drama and drudgery of daily life, by recognising and recording everyday blessings. Readers are invited to go on the same journey of gratitude, and thus to live the full life of eucharisteo (with grace, thanksgiving, joy).
