Jetstar Flying Start Programme
Jetstar invites community groups and organisations to apply for a grant for $30,000, made up of $15,000 cash and $15,000 worth of travel with Jetstar, to fund a project that “will enrich the lives of people in their local community”. The package also includes promotion of the community group/organisation on Jetstar’s website and Facebook page, plus national and local media publicity via Jetstar’s PR partners.

Applications are considered quarterly. The closing date for the next round is 28 February 2012. Jetstar refer to the application process as a ‘competition’ and the money/travel package as a ‘prize’. Read their terms and conditions before you apply.

Estate of Sybil Ada Hensley
The will for Sybil Ada Hensley dated the 5th April 2011 defines the objectives of the Trust as “assisting children in respect of their housing, health and education needs”. Grants may be made direct to individuals through sponsoring organisations. The closing date for applications is 31 March 2012. The trustees meet in May 2012, and payment of a grant is usually within four weeks of the trustees indicating their approval of that grant, providing all conditions are met.
