TAP Funding for ECE/playgroups

The Ministry of Education has funding available to increase pre-school participation in specific target areas. The fund is called Targeted Assistance for Participation (TAP). TAP will give grants of up to $100,000 to organisations that will set up new licensed ECE services or certificated playgroups, or increase child places, in the following areas. The target areas are based on census area units. More information is available on the www.gets.govt.nz website. You will need to register to access the GETS site, but it is free to do so.



MoE Northern Region
Target areas in Auckland City are: Beaumont, Grange, Fairburn, Red Hill, Akarana, Walmsley, Ranui Domain, Starling Park.

Target areas in Whangarei: Raumaunga West.

Target areas in Far North: Kaitaia West, Ngapuhi – Kaikou.

The tender closing date is 18 January 2012 at 12pm. The GETS reference is 34783.

MoE Central North Region
Target areas are: Te Kuiti, Huntly West, Kingsley Chatham, Lochain, Flaxmere East, Mayfair, Owhata West, Fairview Downs, Insoll, Enderley, Crawshaw, Meremere, Paeroa, Welcome Bay East, Yatton Park, Maraenui, Trident, Whakatane West, East Cape, Ngaruawahia.

The tender closing date is 8 February 2012 at 12pm. The GETS reference is 34865.
