THE GATHERING 2011

Hope you have booked your flights, last week there were $9 fares one way to Christchurch from Auckland and this week there were $5 fares one way, so make sure you check out the Air NZ website under “GrabASeat”.

Don’t forget that registrations close FRIDAY 14 OCTOBER.   PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can I ask that you get your registrations in on time - as you can imagine there is heaps of work to do after we have the registrations, in sorting out accommodation, transport, workshop venues, etc, etc. and if you can assist us with this, it makes it so much easier this end and to make everything run smoothly.

One thing that we frequently get asked is “When is the Pastors and Spouses Day”?  This year the day will be replaced with a dedicated lunch on Saturday for Pastors and Spouses with our guest Mark Holmen as speaker.  You will need to indicate on the registration form that you wish to attend this lunch.

As previously communicated to you, there will not be a Delegates Pack going out from this office as in previous years.  You will be required to REGISTER at the venue at Lincoln University when you arrive and there you will receive your registration pack with everything you need.

Next month’s Coffee Break however, will include some information that you will need to read prior to arriving at the Gathering i.e. Annual Report, Nominations for Boards, etc, so make sure you look out for this.

Changes to Workshops

Just to let you know there are a few changes to the workshops at the Gathering as advertised in the Gathering Registration Booklet:

  • The Kingdom potential of intercultural partnership with George Wieland and Alan Utting.  Unfortunately George Wieland is unable to attend the Gathering but he will be having some input on DVD during the workshop.
  • What We Wish We Had Been told with Gary Grut: This workshop will be led by Jonathan Weir, Senior Pastor of Titirangi Baptist and Gary Grut, National manager of BYM.
