Over the past two months we have had several guest presenters including Karen White, who talked about her experiences in East Asia, and Josh Klinkenberg and his team from Te Aroha, who lead a prophetic worship weekend. On Sunday morning the church family prayed for healing for several members. Pastor Murray is leading a series based on Brian Smith’s book Who Made God and Other Tricky Questions.

Caregivers are given follow-up materials to discuss each topic with their children. The men’s group is going from strength to strength and running different activities to encourage men in their walk with God. They have started a mid-week study and are preparing for Promise Keepers. The women meet regularly for breakfast. At our last event, the older women enjoyed getting to know more about the younger women from the youth group. We were all surprised at how much we had in common. On average, 25 children attend the weekly playgroup. Mums and grandmas come along with their children and a team of people from RBC run the program. This is a wonderful community outreach and there are always new children to fill the gaps when the older ones go to kindy. Our Christian position is presented through music and stories, and waiata are sung.
