Thousand Foot Krutch – Live At The Masquerade

liveatthemasqueradeThousand Foot Krutch is one of those bands that has soldiered on as if rap-metal never died. I’m actually glad of that, because they really are great at producing loud, drop-d riffs with a serious groove. It’s pretty one dimensional but it’s fun from time to time, all the same. With that in mind, Live At The Masquerade is a DVD/CD package of a gig that TFK played at a youth event in Canada with an audience of 20,000. The production is very well done, the songs have the same punch they have on record, and Trevor McNevan knows how to work a crowd.

Beyond that, there isn’t much to say. There are no extras, such as interviews or studio footage, which is a bit of a shame (they’re usually my favourite bits). Since the concert itself is only 49 minutes long, this package isn’t the greatest value. But the reality is that value in this case is going to come down to whether or not you are a fan of this band. If you are, it’s probably worth it.
