The church has had a cosmetic makeover on the outside and hopefully a little on the inside! A number of people met to discuss possible changes to our pastoral care network. Self Denial proved a popular challenge for many, aided by the appearance of Richard and Sally. The youth group had a 40 Hour Famine sleepover. The men shared a quality night of indoor sport along with some from Musselburgh and South Dunedin.

Mens’ ministry continues to grow with a 10 pin bowling night and breakfast well attended. The Girls’ Brigade held a successful cheese rolls fundraiser. Mairie Ayres, Tony Mielke and John Lloyd all lost loved ones in the past month; our prayers and thoughts are with them. Others are recovering from flu and hospital care. Plans are underway for a church concert later in the month. BMF group hosted a well-attended combined meeting for Bruce and Karen on home leave from East Asia. Children from Kid’s Church portrayed Mothers’ Day in a very special way. Wally Driver from Caversham was a visiting speaker.
