Christchurch rattled again

Christchurch suffered another large earthquake (magnitude 6) yesterday, June 13, and a swarm of aftershocks. These have caused more damage and liquefaction.

William Drury-Turnball, the Baptist Earthquake Response Co-ordinator in Christchurch has asked for prayer for the following:

  • Helpers to clear the liquefaction and to do emergency repair work. Most people are now back at work, so the number of volunteers available is significantly reduced.
  • Strength and insight for the Strengthening Community Coordinators who are dealing with the situation on the ground.
  • That God will guide William into situations that need support.
  • Patience and peace for those who need help.

If you can provide practical assistance, or you can organise a team to go to Christchurch for a weekend, please  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
