At the Connect group camp in February 86 campers found their way by a twisty road to Mistletoe Bay, in the Marlborough Sounds. Accommodation was tents or perhaps a campervan. They enjoyed a children’s programme, camp concert and BBQ. The highlight for some was a walk to Lochmara Bay, about two hours away. A singalong in the Connect Cafe, where campers sang songs from way back to their hearts’ content, was the most enjoyed activity for those in a certain age group. Sunday morning we enjoyed a not-so-traditional service followed by a picnic before packing for the journey home.
