Geoff is taking us through the book of John. In June we enjoyed a lunch and then beautiful music from Eduard Klassen playing his Paraguayan folk harp. He gave a wonderful testimony describing how, as a young boy in the Paraguayan jungle, he became a Christian through listening to HCJB Global.
On August 29 the team from East West Collage and WEC took the morning service. The church has started a car boot sale once a month. Our ladies second Woman2Woman afternoon in late September was well attended. On Sunday September 12 we had another combined service. We also farewelled longtime member Valerie Griffiths.

Five months after our centennial celebrations, workmen have arrived and the task of enlarging our church buildings has begun. A group of young adults spent September 4 lifting the paving tiles in front of the church and removing everything inside and out that would hinder progress. The following Monday was D-Day; timber arrived and much has been accomplished in a short time. We are grateful that builder Roger Alexander from Howick is heading the project, with he and wife Celia staying in Morrinsville during the week and returning to their home in the weekends. We are looking to God to supply our needs so that the whole project may be completed without interruption.

September ended with the funeral for Neville Vigne, a faithful servant of the Lord, and with seven baptisms – an exciting time of hearing how God has changed lives! We started October with Chunillal Peta from OMS and Alan and Alrena Martis from MAF – what a challenge to obey to the Lord. We look forward to outreach opportunities of the Light Party. We continue our preaching through 1 Peter and James.
