Big Bang

I was at first inclined not to add to the “Dr Tallon” debate as it would become rather boring. But as an ex-atheist who became a Christian 57 years ago, and who is neither a scientist or theologian, let me add something of my 93-plus years’ experience.

During the War I was in the Dutch Resistance and, after the German defeat, volunteered to fight the Japanese in the Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia).

Both in the land army and the Resistance I used explosives fairly often. When matter explodes it does so in irregular chunks, so how come the stars etc. are perfectly round? The atmosphere has no reisistance, so they could not be “polished.” The Big Bang Theory, as I understand it, says gases were compressed and caused an explosion. For that to happen there must have been a “power” to compress them. Where did that power come from?

Now a new experiment is bombarding molecules to recreate this explosion. Again it needs a power to do it. And, finally, how did the gases that formed the matter which then exploded come into existence?

Instead of wracking our brains to figure all this out, let’s stick to the Word of God. That is enough for me.
