Sometimes Christian music just seems focus-grouped. Case in point: The Letter Black. Sadly, I suppose this band makes sense from a business perspective for its label. It has an attractive singer, the lyrics are very clear and Christian, and it sounds like Evanescence.
What about talent, commitment to craft, or trying to make a piece of art that is unique? The Letter Black has and do none of those things. Thousands of good sermons are available for free on iTunes, so I certainly don’t need to sit through an average one set to bad music, and neither do you.
One out of five stars.
