The article ‘Would a real theologian please stand up?’ by Colin Day (May, NZ Baptist) articulates beautifully and perfectly what has been the subject of my prayers and thoughts for some time now. I want him to know that he is not the only one asking these questions. My hope is that we won’t just ask the questions but get on and do something. I see so many faithful but extremely busy Christians working hard to maintain church activities that bear no or very little fruit and feel deeply saddened at our exhaustion and growing irrelevance.

The status quo will simply not do. If we join Jesus in what He is doing in the earth today we will prove by experience the reality of “the Kingdom of God at hand” right before our, and the world’s, eyes. Thank you Colin for standing up. Now, enough talk, it’s time to act!
