Guest speakers included Suzanne Pillan (healing ministry), Charly Tom (Mercy Mission, India) and Adam Hutchinson (Prison Fellowship Cambodia). Steve Shephard is the new manager of Papanui Youth Development Trust. Ministry Releasing Day held for all ministry/group leaders. Around 70 young people plus leaders enjoyed another inspirational Easter Camp at Spencer Park. Annual church picnic in the park where the youngies beat (but only just!) the oldies at a T-ball tournament. Vegetables produced in our church community garden on the former manse site have been used locally and given to the Christchurch foodbank 0800HUNGRY. Bruce and Dorothy Hutchinson have returned from Cambodia.

CFFD meeting was coffee and chat with an Irish theme. Rachel Thompson spoke at the morning service of the work in Ethiopia and of their plans to reach Somali people in Auckland. Church luncheon was followed by congregation meeting. Very moving memorial service held at Chingford Park for the twin daughters of Chris and Jess Morton. A prayer walk took place after the morning services. Youthees – Chilli-Peppers meeting on Saturday nights. The Good Friday service was hosted by our church while breakfast was served prior to the Easter Sunday service. A love offering was also taken. John Lowery is recovering from further surgery.
