This report measures five key indicators of generosity in New Zealand, from December 2009 to September 2011. It shows that during this period the percentages of people volunteering, donating money or donating goods have generally trended upwards. However median dollars donated per month have remained stable.
Social Responsibility Survey of New Zealand SMEs
This report from BNI, a business and professional networking group, is the result from a survey of more than 2000 small to medium businesses in New Zealand in 2011. The survey gauged participation in 25 approaches taken by small businesses to social responsibility. The list of activities included making charitable donations (almost 75% indicate they do so), sponsorship (56%), and encouraging staff to participate in volunteering activities (almost 22%).
