These papers are part of the Children & Family Ministry course and are completed online. They use experience of practical ministry as a basis for biblical and theological reflection and personal growth. Within a half year period you will perform 100 hours of practical ministry and reflect upon this with a supervisor, in an online peer group, and in a portfolio and essay. Both papers are available in the first semester of each year.

Children's Ministry Course 672,772 with Dr Scottie May, Wheaton College, USA
Second semester, Block course, 25 - 29 June, 2012
Dr Scottie May, lecturer at Wheaton College, USA, will be teaching this course, with input from some of our local experts. Scottie brings a wealth of knowledge and theological insight. She is the co-author of Children Matter and Listening to Children on the Spiritual Journey. The course will examine the nature and spirituality of children in light of biblical, theological, and developmental perspectives. Current ministry practices will be analysed in light of cultural trends. Faith experiences of children will be a focus. This course can be taken as part of the CM Combo, or as a stand alone paper.
