Lyn Campbell is our new interim National Team Leader for Baptist Community Ministries, for approximately six months.

Many of you will know Lyn as the current Baptist President. She has also served on Assembly Council and Mission Council. She served as Children’s Advocate with Christchurch City council and as a commissioner with the Families Commission.

She continues to work with local government in liaison with Families Commission, working with local authorities to develop policy and practices which support family-centred communities. Lyn also has wide experience in church leadership and community initiatives. She is currently involved in family mentoring and training mentors.

This experience, her background in education and her broad knowledge of how to engage and partner with the community, have built strong networks and understandings of how to bring transformational change.

Lyn has a particular interest in developing churches as family and community hubs and faith communities where people from all sectors can belong and become followers of Jesus. She has a strong commitment to God’s call to every Christian to be engaged in mission and ministry, in all corners of our communities.

During her interim term as National Team Leader, Lyn is aiming to develop stronger regional networks, hubs and groups of advisers so that those involved in community initiatives have easy access to relevant support. She is also keen to assist churches and groups in their strategic planning and implementation, through interactive workshops and forums.
