Join Faith@Home   The Faith@Home network is offering a special rate to NZ Baptist churches for web access to continually updated articles, blogs, webinars and podcasts from leading authors and practitioners. Partner churches can also add these channels to their own websites:
• F@H Moms
• F@H Dads
• F@H Parents of Teenagers

Faith@Home has also created three church leader channels with content and ideas from other church leaders, authors and practitioners. Staff from partner churches gain access to continually updated content on the following channels:
the Gathering 2011 A myriad of events scheduled for Christchurch, from Rugby World Cup games to weekend conferences, migrated elsewhere following the earthquakes. The Baptist Churches of New Zealand decided to buck this trend. Following the February 22 earthquake, the leadership moved its annual assembly – originally slated for Hamilton on November 11 and 12 – to the Lincoln University campus near Christchurch. “The decision was taken to affirm the people of Christchurch at a time when other conferences were leaving,” said Rodney Macann, the outgoing National Leader. Congregations responded positively; nearly 600 representatives attended, a 50% increase on last year. Christchurch Deputy Mayor Ngaire Button welcomed the delegates.
"F" is for "friend" The Baptist Churches of New Zealand facebook page began as a way to give and receive quick updates from Christchurch following February's earthquake. The updates are less frequent now, but the page is still there.

Why are we on facebook, when we have a perfectly good website? Because facebook is an instant way to communicate with those of you who join our network and – best of all – it's not a one-way conversation. The page is a great forum for those who have shared comments, pictures, videos and links from around the country. You're not just communicating with us; you're communicating with each other.

Like that? Then visit our facebook page.
Christchurch recovery There is now a clear shift from emergency to recovery in Christchurch. The long haul is beginning to be addressed. Many partnerships have formed – across the city of Christchurch, within communities and around the country. A considerable number of our churches from outside Christchurch are responding well, including one from Adelaide, Australia.

For the latest information, visit the "Earthquake" page on this site and check out Baptist Churches of New Zealand on facebook.
